The sea inspired me for this collection; treasures hidden in rock pools, the light dancing off the waves and the deep deep depths of the ocean. While creating this collection I thought of memories when scuba diving, looking at the different types of coral and rock. I started thinking about air and light escaping from hidden rocks and crevices buried deep in the ocean, rising up to the surface. I hope the texture and rich colour palettes prompt the viewer to stop and gaze…

…and to become absorbed in the feelings the painting stirs within.
